Disney Gift Cards at Walmart 2024

Disney Gift Cards at Walmart

When planning a Disney vacation on a budget, discount Disney gift cards at Walmart should absolutely be on the first things your family is doing to prepare for the trip.

There is a great saving potential when you purchase Disney gift cards at Walmart. We all shop at Walmart.  According to this article, the average family of four spends over $4,000 at Walmart in a year.

With stores in over 25 countries (no kidding!), us vacation planners and frugal lifestyle lovers are intrigued by the possibility of saving money on Disney at a place I shop at weekly.

Using Disney Gift Cards at Disney

Use Disney gift cards anywhere throughout the parks on anything, including full-service and quick-service meals, snacks, merchandise, and tickets.

Use on Disney Cruises, the Disney Store, and at ShopDisney.com.  They are a great way to make and stick to a budget when vacationing at the most magical place on earth.

Now, onto the gift cards!  As always, check the Walmart gift card policies online regularly for the most up-to-date information!

Disney Gift Cards at Walmart

Walmart sells Disney gift cards exclusively in-store, though you can sometimes find them online.

Alternatively, you can purchase them both in-store at Sam’s Club and online at samsclub.com. Both Walmart and Sam’s Club are owned by the same parent company meaning their gift cards can be used interchangeably.

Availability and denominations vary by location and are typically available in amounts of $25 or $50.

Sam’s Club sells them in bundles of 3 in denominations of $50 and $75.  There are no purchase or activation fees, and the gift cards never expire, meaning you can start collecting them long before your Disney trip!

You can find them at the checkout counters, usually grouped together with other types of gift cards.

Pro tip when shopping at Walmart: every store has an internal pricing system that shows if a price has been marked down at all, or even how many times.

Their secret price talk goes like this: 7,5,1. Any price ending in 7 is the original price and has never been marked down, prices ending in 5 have been marked down once, prices ending in 1 are at the final markdown prices.

Save with Discounted Walmart Gift Cards

Using Walmart and Sam’s Club you can save up to 10% off Disney gift cards.  The first step is to find an online gift card broker that offers discounted Walmart gift cards such as Raise.com or use popular rewards sites (listed below) to help you obtain free Walmart gift cards.

Raise.com is great for scoring great deals on gift cards.  First-time users can get $10 off their first purchase when entering their email on the homepage.

This means that you double down on the gift card discount. Raise.com always offers free shipping on gift cards and you can even sell your unwanted gift cards in their marketplace.

Online gift card exchanges are a great way to trade out that gift card you didn’t really want this holiday season for one you do want: a Disney gift card!

Once you’ve purchased your discount Walmart gift card, you’ll next need to head either to your nearest Walmart store or, better yet, to samsclub.com.  The reason I recommend Sam’s Club is because they offer discounted Disney gift cards in bundles of 3.

If you purchase Disney gift cards in-store at Walmart, you’ll only be cashing in on your initial Walmart gift card discount from Raise.com.  Combining the two discounts, you can save up to 10% on Disney gift cards!

Using the following popular sites, you can score free Walmart gift cards:

  • Shopkick: Earn “kick” just by walking into a store, watching videos, and purchasing items.  You can redeem your “kicks” for gift cards to Walmart, among other major retailers.
  • Swagbucks: Swagbucks offers gift cards to Walmart and other major retailers simply for watching videos, completing internet surveys, and playing games.
  • My Points: You can earn points when making purchases through their site, taking surveys, and watching videos.  Redeem those points for gift cards to Walmart.
  • Harris Poll Online: By completing surveys on their site, you can earn Walmart gift cards.
  • Ibotta: Just by signing up you receive a $10 welcome bonus and can cash out your bonuses for Walmart gift cards.

Head over to CardCash, which is a gift card exchange program where you turn in unwanted gift cards from more than 200 retailers for one cash instead.

The catch is that they do take a percentage of the original gift card, with the percentage varying. Customers can receive up to 97% of the original value of the card.

While it might seem silly to lose gift card value by trading it in, if you weren’t planning on using the card anyway, this could be a great option to stock up on Disney gift cards for your family!

In all of this, don’t forget to earn every more (hopefully 3% more), by using a great credit card.  And then paying it all back of course. My top card is the Chase Sapphire Preferred.
