Digital SLR Cameras At Disney

Digital SLR Cameras At Disney

Do you like bringing you Digital SLR Camera with you to Disney World? Well me too! I’m super new to the Digital SLR world but I love taking beautiful pictures whenever I can. Couple that with my love for Disney = SLR is coming with me.

A bit of background: I’m fairly young in my adult life and it isn’t until recently that I started traveling. I wanted a camera to document my travels for myself and my amazing significant other surprised me with one as a gift. A Nikon D3200 to be exact. I did a lot of research on which one I want so all she had to do was spend the money.

Here are two awesome Disney pics I took:

I have way too many gadgets, so I immediately needed a backpack that was going to hold all of my stuff and be able to hit the road, or air, with me. I did some research, (I’m clearly all about the research), and stumbled upon the one I use to this day and LOVE. I’ll attach the link at the end of this post so you can read the reviews on Amazon and possibly purchase if you like it.

When I go to WDW there are a few essentials I always have. Water, snacks, ponchos, possibly the Unofficial Guide to Walt Disney World, and anything else I might need, given the circumstances.  What I needed was a backpack that could hold that stuff + my camera.  And it had to be a backpack. I wasn’t going to lug around a backpack with supplies plus a camera bag. I also needed to be able to go on all rides.  The one I have now is Evecase Digital SLR Camera Rugged Backpack.

Here is what it looks like from the front and back:

The top part is super spacious and has a tablet sleeve (that I never use). I also use this backpack as my personal item on a flight because I want to keep my camera near me.  On the top half I put my MacBook Pro, Bose headphones with case, passport holder, etc. it fits a ton of stuff!

Let me put this in a two list form:

Personal Item – on plane

  • 13” MacBook Pro
  • Candy/Gum
  • 6” Passport Case
  • Bose QuietComfort Headphones in Case
  • Chargers

Disney

  • 2-4 Bottles of Water
  • Snacks
  • Ponchos
  • Anything else I might need

Here is what is looks like and what was in it right before I got on a plane to come back home from WDW:DSC_0448

The backpack is called rugged for a reason.  It has great padded shoulder straps, it’s water resistant and a great size.  Yes, you can easily get on Space Mountain or any other ride with this bag.  Even Splash Mountain.  As you can tell from these pictures, the bottom is a firm rectangle with removal tabs, very protective of your camera and lens.  DSC_0454DSC_0453

I am super new at taking pictures but Tom over at Disney Tourist Blog is a master at amazing Disney pictures.  Take a look at his Ultimate Disney Parks Photography Guide for awesome information.

I know there are a lot of other great SLR backpacks so please feel free to comment below with your favorite!

Wow what a handy backpack. It holds all your valuables. I am just using my phone camera when going to amusement parks. Great for unexpected shots.

I am a Canon user and still a hobbyist photographer specially when my time allows me to use my DSLR. I also invested in camera bags and some was prizes from winning online. I miss those days where I can spend the weekend for photography. And to visit Disneyland and bring my kids would be awesome!

That is a great bag. My oldest took his DSLR to Disney and he had a similar bag. It was very convenient.

Short trips are tough sometimes. You just never know what you might need and how handy everything else might be. This bag seems convenient for those who travel light.

I’m always eager to try for other bags, big, bulky or small, compact ones. it doesn’t matter. They’re always with me on my trips and seeing Disney here might just make that place my next vacation target with my family!
