What are Quick Service Locations

Quick service at Disney’s Hollywood Studios is a great option for visitors who are looking for a quick and convenient meal.

There are several options to choose from, ranging from classic American fare to more exotic cuisine.

Quick service restaurants typically offer faster and more convenient dining options compared to table service restaurants. They usually have a counter or a kiosk where customers can place their orders and pick up their food.

They also generally have a more casual and relaxed atmosphere, making them a great option for families or groups looking for a quick and easy meal together.

What Should You Not Miss At Hollywood Studios?

Hollywood Studios features a large variety of food options, and a few items are a MUST. Don’t leave the park without checking out these top favorites.

  • Ronto Roasters’ famous Ronto Wrap
  • Carrot Cake Cookie
  • Funnel cakes
  • Lunch Box Tart
  • PB&J Milkshake
  • Blue Milk (you know, the Star Wars milk)

Docking Bay 7

Docking Bay 7 is a newer addition to Hollywood Studios, located in the Star Wars: Galaxy’s Edge park, and is run by Proprietor Chef Strono “Cookie” Tuggs, who honed his skills on Maz Kanata. Make sure to look up and see the delivery shuttle parked right on top of the restaurant!

Food Quality

Docking Bay 7 features a fast-casual counter service so you can stop in to eat and be on your way to explore the rest of Galaxy’s Edge. The food quality has received high ratings from other customers.

Menu Options

The dishes featured at Docking Bay 7 are made from the best ingredients in the galaxy. The menu features full entrees, desserts, and beverages and includes options for vegetarians and vegans. Some dishes include delicacies such as Batuuan Beef and Crispy Topato Stir-fry and Peka Tuna Poke. They also have a plant-based option called Felucian Kefta and Hummus Garden Spread. There are options for the younglings as well.

Atmosphere

Docking Bay 7 is located inside a working hangar bay. It features Star Wars decor inspired by the movies, bringing you to a galaxy far, far away at the Black Spire outpost.

Seating Options

After you get your meals, chill out inside of the large hanger or sit outside at the rustic outdoor seating area, surrounded by the dilapidated walls of the old marketplace.

Crowd Levels

The crowd levels are low at Docking Bay 7 due to the large size of the hangar.

Ronto Roasters

Ronto Roasters is a quick service location in Galaxy’s Edge. It is located in the marketplace and is a perfect stop for breakfast, lunch, or dinner. It is near the Millennium Falcon: Smuggler’s Run ride, so you can stop by for a quick bite after riding.

Food Quality

Ronto Roasters is a popular option and has received high reviews from previous patrons. The Ronto Wrap is the most popular item on the menu and has people drooling. Their menu is small but mouth-watering.

Menu Options

Many of Ronto Roasters’ menu items are in wrap form, including their breakfast wraps, although you can get the famous Ronto Wrap during any meal. This quick-stop location also features plant-based options and an extensive allergy menu.

The popular Ronto Wrap contains roasted pork, grilled pork sausage, peppercorn sauce, and tangy slaw, all wrapped inside a piece of pita bread. Don’t be turned off by the peppercorn sauce if you’re not into spicy foods. It’s not very spicy. One of their plant-based options includes a Zuchii wrap filled with grilled zucchini, chickpea-onion slaw, garlic-tahini sauce, and fresh cilantro wrapped in a slice of pita bread.

Atmosphere

Ronto Roasters blends into the surrounding Black Spire marketplace atmosphere. Inside, you see a pitmaster droid turning the mechanical spit, heavy with a large chunk of Ronto, a creature native to Tatooine. The meat is roasted by the engine of an old podracer. Disney did an excellent job of seamlessly blending shops and restaurants into the Galaxy’s Edge atmosphere. You may as well have stepped right out of a Star Wars film.

Seating Options

The seating options for Ronto Roasters are pretty limited. Since Galaxy’s Edge is still new and super popular, you might have difficulty finding a seat. Ronto Roasters is an open-air restaurant, though most of their seating is covered. A few seats on the periphery are only partially covered, which can be a problem if it rains. During breakfast, you might be able to snag a table at Docking Bay 7; however, they will not let you do that during Lunch or Dinner.

Crowd Levels

As mentioned, Galaxy’s Edge is still new and popular, so the area might be busy if you’re there during standard meal times. As always, take advantage of their mobile ordering system if you don’t want to wait in long lines.

Backlot Express is a popular quick service restaurants in Hollywood Studios. The restaurant’s industrial-themed decor pays homage to the park’s movie-making roots, making it a must-visit spot for film buffs. I love this place.

Quick Service Restaurants in Hollywood Studios

Food Quality

For a quick service place, the food quality is pretty good. This location is designed to be a much speedier meal than others, so the quality is what you might expect. They boast a Cuban sandwich, which is good but not as good as an actual Cuban restaurant.

Menu Options

Backlot Express service for both lunch and dinner. Their menu items are not quite as on-point as the other Galaxy’s Edge locations, however. Most items consist of burgers and sandwiches, a Southwest salad (with or without chicken), and chicken strips. They also have a plant-based option called Tatooine Two Suns Hummus. You can get the excellent Wookie Cookie here, however, which is fantastic. Definitely worth sharing.

Atmosphere

Backlot Express boasts itself as being the “Warehouse of Good Eating.” It’s a warehouse for the studios, where they’ve stored all manner of movie items, from paints to props and stunt gear. Like ABC Commissary, it is designed to give you that on-the-set feel wrapped in Star Wars themes. During Star Wars Weekends, it is decorated for the Rebel Hangar Star Wars Lounge Experience.

Seating Options

This quick-service location has excellent shelter from the sun and weather with a large overhead warehouse roof.

Crowd Levels

This is a popular spot, so it can be busy. However, with plenty of seating, you will be able to relax for a while before moving on to the next adventure!

There are alcoholic beverages for adults and various juices, tea, and milk, along with their Root Beer floats. As mentioned earlier, they also have Lunch Box Tarts for dessert that are flaky and delicious.

Atmosphere

This location is imagineered to look like it was made out of toys; however, they did not go all out as they did with Pizza Planet. You can still spot items from Andy’s lunchbox incorporated into the structures and seating area. You may even spot a few green army men keeping watch!

Seating Options

Woody’s Lunchbox has several umbrella-covered tables in primary colors with built-in seating. Some of the tables are unique, including one that looks like a note from Andy’s mom. There is even a Babybel table where you sit on seats that look like wax circles. Although the seating is adorable, you may struggle to find a seat if the park is bustling. Families tend to camp out there while they wait for others to ride the Slinky Dog Dash. You might want to have a plan ahead of time to find seating elsewhere after grabbing your food.

Crowd Levels

Woody’s Lunchbox tends to be busy, so you may want to plan an early lunch or take advantage of their mobile ordering system so you don’t have to wait in line.

Looking for something different to eat? Check out the ABC Commissary, which features American dining in an Art Deco setting. This quick-service location is situated along Commissary Lane at Hollywood Studios. The ABC Commissary is a little pricier, so those on the Disney Dining Plan may want to utilize their Quick Service Credit here.

Food Quality

Regarding the food at ABC Commissary, some patrons have reported that the food quality has improved over the years. With a smaller menu, the restaurant can focus on quality instead of quantity. They use quality ingredients and for counter service, is very good.

PizzeRizzo is a quick service located nestled on Grand Avenue in Hollywood Studios. They feature pizza lunch and dinner options.
