Best Day to Visit Hollywood Studios

Hollywood Studios is one of the four theme parks at Walt Disney World Resort in Florida. It is themed around movies, television, and music. The park opened on May 1, 1989, as Hollywood Boulevard. On July 1, 1993, the park was re-branded Hollywood Studios.

The original idea for the park came about because of Jim Henson’s Muppets. When Disney bought the rights to the Muppets franchise in 2004, they decided to expand Hollywood Studios and add a Muppet*Vision 3D theatre.

If you’re looking for some fun and adventure, then I would definitely recommend visiting Hollywood Studios! There’s something for everyone here – from thrilling roller coasters to water rides, plus plenty of shows and attractions to keep you entertained all day long.

BEST DAY TO VISIT HOLLYWOOD STUDIOS

When it comes to planning a trip to Disney’s Hollywood Studios, there are a lot of factors to consider. One of the most important is figuring out the best day to visit.

This can be tricky, as the park is notoriously crowded. However, there are a few things to keep in mind that can help you choose the best day for your visit.

First, take into account the time of year. The park is busiest during holidays and school breaks. If possible, avoid these times.

Second, consider the weather. The park is located in central Florida, which means it can be extremely hot during the summer months. If you’re not a fan of heat, try to visit during the spring or fall when temperatures are more moderate.

Finally, take into account the crowds. But let’s get into the data.

For example, the wait times are generally the longest on Mondays, so try to avoid visiting the park on that day if possible.

Saturdays and Sundays tend to be much less crowded, so you may find that the lines move more quickly. You can also take advantage of Genie+, which allows you to reserve a spot on popular rides in advance.

BEST DAYS TO GO TO HOLLYWOOD STUDIOS

If you’re planning a trip to Hollywood Studios, you might be wondering what the best day of the week to go is.

We recommend the following based on current data from Thrill Data.

Which day of the week is best to go to Hollywood Studios?

While wait times can vary depending on the time of year and the popularity of certain attractions, Saturdays and Sundays tend to be the best day to visit.

Wait times are generally lowest on Saturdays and Sundays, making it the perfect day to get your fill of Galaxy’s Edge, rides, shows, and character meet-and-greets.

Of course, there’s no guarantee that you won’t have to wait in line at all, but your chances of having a shorter wait are definitely highest on the weekend.

What day of the week are Hollywood Studios less crowded?

As of now, Saturdays and Sundays.

However, when it comes to choosing which day to visit Hollywood Studios, Saturdays can be a bit of a mixed bag.

On average, the wait times for rides and attractions are about the same as Sundays. However, there is a bit more volatility month-to-month.

For example, in the last 12 months, Saturdays have had the longest wait times 3 out of 12 months. But they have also had the lowest wait times 4 out of 12 months.

So it really depends on when you go. There doesn’t seem to be a clear seasonal pattern either.

For example, from August through November 2023, every single month alternated between having the lowest wait times and the longest wait times.

If you’re flexible with which day you can visit Hollywood Studios, Saturday can be a great option. But if you’re looking for a sure thing, Friday is probably your best bet.

Sundays are a great day to visit Hollywood Studios. In the last 12 months, it has had the lowest or second-lowest wait times, 3 out of 4 weekends, and its average wait time is tied with Friday and Saturday for being the lowest since October 2021.

What time Is Hollywood Studios least busy?

According to the data, 8 am to 9 am has the lowest wait times; from 9 am-4 pm wait times are the highest, coming back down again after 4 pm.

WORST DAYS TO GO TO HOLLYWOOD STUDIOS

You may want to avoid Mondays. While the park is open every day of the week, Mondays tend to be the busiest, with the longest wait times for rides and attractions.

In fact, six out of the last twelve months, Mondays had the longest wait times of any day at the park. However, it’s not all bad news – during that same time period, Mondays also had the lowest wait times once.

Be sure to check the park’s hours before you go, as crowd levels can vary depending on the time of year and other factors.

What days are the busiest at Hollywood Studios?

Mondays.

Although Tuesdays aren’t as bad as Mondays, they’re still pretty terrible in terms of wait times at Hollywood Studios. Out of the last twelve months, four had the longest wait times on Tuesdays.

PLANNING THE BEST DAY AT HOLLYWOOD STUDIOS

A visit to Hollywood Studios is a must for any Disney fan. With so many amazing attractions and shows, it can be hard to know where to start.

To help you plan an unforgettable day at the park, here are a few tips.

Make Dining Reservations

A great way to fuel up for a busy day at Disney’s Hollywood Studios is to schedule a character dining experience. Whether it’s breakfast with the Disney Jr. crew or an evening meal with Minnie and friends, these dining experiences are sure to please everyone in your travel party.

Reservations can be made up to 60 days in advance, and with limited capacity, it’s important to book early. By making a dining reservation, you can be confident that your group will be well-fed and rested and ready for more fun!

Rope Drop is a must

Hollywood Studios is a great place to spend a day, and one of the best ways to ensure a great day is to get to the park prior to opening.

This way, you can beat the crowds and get on rides as soon as they start running – sometimes even before the posted opening time.

To ensure you have a chance to ride all the best attractions at Hollywood Studios, we recommend being through security and ticketing no later than 8:30 (half an hour before the park officially opens).

Night Touring

When most people think of visiting Disney World, they picture long days spent strolling through the parks, enjoying the mid-day sun.

However, there is another side to the magic of Disney World that can only be experienced after the sun goes down. At night, the parks take on a whole new atmosphere.

The bright lights and vibrant colors of the rides and attractions are even more dazzling when seen in the dark. And in some cases, such as with the Twilight Zone Tower of Terror at Hollywood Studios, the experience is actually enhanced by the lack of sunlight.

Toy Story Land and Galaxy’s Ledge are not to be missed at night.

Disney’s Hollywood Studios is a great place to visit, and if you’re like me, you want to make the most of your time there. I’ve put together this guide to help visitors figure out the exact day they will wait the least amount of time at each attraction.

Of course, these are just averages, and depending on what time of year you go and how crowded the park is that day, you may still have to wait in line for some attractions. But following this guide should help minimize your wait times. So without further ado, let’s get started!
