Top 10 Offsite Budget Hotels at Disney

It’s not difficult to find an offsite budget hotel near Disney World.  What’s harder is to find a place that is affordable yet good quality.

What To Expect

Here are a few things you should know about budget-friendly hotels near Disney.

Most of the budget-friendly hotels near Disney World will have exterior entries and not interior hallways that lead to the room door.

If you go in expecting no frills than any great add-ons will be a pleasant surprise.  The truth is, with budget-friendly hotels, there really won’t be any frills.

What you can expect are a clean room and standard amenities.  Also, a location conveniently located to Disney World is a must.

Central, friendly, safe, and clean.

A typical room can cost anywhere between $20/night to $100/night.

Here We Go

#1 Ramada Kissimmee Gateway

Distance: 7 miles or 15 minutes from anywhere within Disney World

Trip Advisor Rating: 3.5

Average Price/Night: $5o

I had to place this at number 1 as it’s my favorite offsite budget hotel near Disney.  Though the average price is $50/night, I’ve stayed here for as cheaply as $20/night.  There are two outdoor pools, a fitness center, free parking, free wifi and more! This is not a 5-star resort but it does the job with nice amenities, great proximity to Disney and cheaply!

#2 Red Lion Hotel

Distance: 7 miles or 15 minutes to anywhere within Disney World

Trip Advisor Rating: 3.5

Average Price/Night: $100

Red Lion is right next door to the Ramada so it’s proximity to Disney is also great.  Once you get in your car you will be on the Walt Disney World property within 6 minutes.  This property has three pools, a shuttle to Disney, and free wifi.  You can also get a room here for a lot less than the average price.

#3 Champions World Resort

Distance: 9 miles or 20 minutes to anywhere within Disney World

Trip Advisor Rating: 3.5

Average Price/Night: $50

This place has an onsite sports complex, a five-acre nature park, and three pools!  Not only that but there are free wifi AND free shuttles to the parks. Pet-friendly rooms are also available.

#4 Seralago Hotel and Suites

Distance: 7 miles or 15 minutes to anywhere within Disney World

Trip Advisor Rating: 3.0

Average Price/Night: $45

This is the first resort on our list that has suites!  Which would be convenient for many families. When you stay here you will be able to use their included wifi and park shuttles.  As well as their whirlpools and poolside bar.

#5 Crown Club Inn by Exploria Resorts

Distance: 11 miles or 25 minutes to anywhere within Disney World

Trip Advisor Rating: 4.0

Average Price/Night: $55

Interior hallways are for the win with this resort. Complimentary breakfast and wifi are included in your stay.  The Crown Club gives you great value for every dollar spent.  The rooms are nice as are the three pools.

#6 Seasons Florida Resort

Distance: 8 miles or 19 minutes to anywhere within Disney World

Trip Advisor Rating: 4.0

Average Price/Night: $55

This hotel was newly renovated and the rooms look fantastic.  In each room, you will find a refrigerator, a microwave, free wifi and more. The hotel is small, with only one pool, but for the amenities and the price, it’s hard to go wrong.

#7 Clarion Suites Maingate

Distance: 8 miles or 15 minutes to anywhere within Disney World

Trip Advisor Rating: 4.0

Average Price/Night: $80

A cabana bar, a whirlpool, and an outdoor pool – need I say more?  This hotel is part of Choice hotels which means you can count on their quality in all 6,500 hotels.  This location also has a free shuttle to the parks as well as late hours at the pool (11pm).

#8 Green Point Hotel Kissimmee

Distance: 6 miles or 15 minutes to anywhere within Disney World

Trip Advisor Rating: 4.5

Average Price/Night: $80

Free shuttle to Disney, free breakfast, free coffee, and free parking. Not to mention that there are no hidden fees at Green Point Hotel.  The rooms are very modern and nicely decorated.

#9 Comfort Inn Maingate

Distance: 8 miles or 17 minutes to anywhere within Disney World

Trip Advisor Rating: 4.0

Average Price/Night: $90

Here we have another location with interior corridors. If you’ve stayed at a place with outdoor entries into the room, then you know how nice it is for there to inside hallways.  This place also has free parking, free breakfast, free wifi, and free shuttles.  It’s also only a mile away from the entrance to Disney.

#10 Quality Inn and Suites by the Parks

Distance: 7 miles or 16 minutes to anywhere within Disney World

Trip Advisor Rating: 4.5

Average Price/Night: $90

The Quality Inn is another choice hotel with pillowtop mattresses, laundry facilities, and an outdoor heated pool.  This is the type of location that replies to their reviews on TripAdvisor. It’s also a 100% smoke-free hotel as well.

What’s Next?

Not only are you looking for a place to stay that’s budget-friendly, but you want to make sure you get the amenities you want.  Such as a refrigerator in the room, a safe, or a shuttle.  Depending on your family’s needs.

I’ve always stayed on property, but glad to know there are other options out there if we decided to change it up one of these years.

Wow!!! I’ve never stayed at these (we usually stay at Disney proper) but these are seriously great options.

I’ve tried to do both equally. I am a DVC member but sometimes my trips are last minute. I like that the quality of these resorts are high but they don’t take a huge chunk of my vacation budget.

I think these are all great money saving places to stay, while going to Disney. My only concern is getting back in to Disney the following day, if you’re there for more than one day.

Thank you for this list {I am pinning for future reference as well}!
It feels like a bit of a gamble sometimes picking anything off-property; this list definitely helps.

I’m glad this helps because I completely understand that struggle. I’ve been there first hand.

Picking the right hotel is just as important as going to Disney. You’ll be tired from having fun all day and it would be nice to pick one that’s not only comfy but fits your budget as well. This list is really helpful!

Yea, for sure. You can easily get lost in the price and miss out on all the amenities that make a stay comfortable

I use to do a lot of work in Orlando. I’m familiar with a few of these hotels. Picking a great hotel is so important. Disney takes a lot of energy and it’s so nice to come back to a comfy room

We rented a house for the week we are in Orlando on Homeaway that is 15 min from the parks. We are really excited.

Definitely pinning this! We’ve been wanting to plan a vacation to Disney, but cost is what is keeping us from taking the plunge and I had no idea where to start looking for deals! Thanks for all the great info!

These hotels are great options for staying off site, but close to the parks. The Disney hotels can be so expensive, even if they are more convenient.

These are really great budget options for those who don’t want to stay on the Disney property. I typically stay on property, but once in a while it may be nice to check out something different.

This is perfect. The first time we visited, I wanted to stay onsite. But if we are to return, I think staying offsite can be as good as staying onsite. Thanks for this information.

Thats such a great list and so helpful for next time we visit Disney. Sometimes it gets so crowded in Disney that staying offsite makes total sense.

Wow! What a great list of off-site budget hotels for Disney. Thanks for sharing. We stayed at property both times we visited and having this list would have saved lots of money.

I’m totally saving this for later. We always stay off site at Disneyland, but I don’t know much about doing it at Disney World.
